María Isabel Proenza, better known by her stage name Marioon, is a Cuban pianist, singer-songwriter, and producer.
She began her music studies at the age of seven and later earned a scholarship to the National School of Arts in Cuba, where she trained as a classical pianist. During this time, her passion for jazz and soul flourished, leading her to collaborate with fellow artists, compose her own music, and work as a musical producer for several theatrical productions in Havana.
Eager to expand her craft and gain international experience, Marioon moved to France after graduation, and later to Italy, where she worked as a performer.
Currently based in Asia, where she has spent the past eight years, Marioon has collaborated with artists from around the globe, touring both as a soloist and with various bands. Her versatility allows her to seamlessly perform across genres including jazz, Latin music, funk, soul, neo-soul, and R&B.
With her charisma, stage presence, and musical sensitivity, Marioon brings a distinctive energy to every performance captivating audiences from the very first note.
